The Office of Population Research, in collaboration with Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School for Public and International Affairs, is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to work with Dr. Patrick Sharkey in the study of community violence. The selected candidate will contribute to multiple projects focused on violence, including: 1) an agent-based model of violent interactions coded in R; 2) a repository of data on violence; 3) multiple analyses of the impact of violence on a range of outcomes. Proficiency with R or Stata is required. Roughly a quarter of the postdoctoral researcher's time is expected to be spent on independent projects. The appointment start date could range from July 1, 2020 to September 1, 2020. The appointment is for one year but may be renewed for a second year contingent on excellent performance and continued funding. Candidates who have completed a Ph.D. or are near completion will be considered.
