The graduate students of the University of Pennsylvania Department of Political Science invite submissions for this year’s Graduate Student Conference: Pluralism(s) to be held on April 3rd, 2020. The conference will question the roles that local and global politics, (inter)national attitudes, and academic theories play in the development, critique and/or definition of pluralism and related "isms."
We welcome submissions from all subfields and related disciplines including but not limited to sociology, history, and economics.
We welcome applicants representing a diverse array of methodological, substantive, disciplinary, and theoretical approaches. The conference will be organized around small panels that include faculty discussants, a policy luncheon that will address bridging the gap between theory and practice, and a concluding reception.
Longer abstracts of about 500 words should be submitted to the following link by February 24, 2020. Selected participants will be notified by March 2, 2020. Monetary assistance for travel and housing is available on a competitive basis.
